We extract 35,000 m3 of stone blocks from the 1,500 hectares owned by ROCAMAT throughout France each year.
The ROCAMAT portfolio contains over 40 of the most renowned varieties of limestone under French soil (Comblanchien, Chassagne, Buxy, Euville, Saint-Maximin, Chauvigny, Sireuil)
On the strength of characteristics of its area of origin, each of our stones bears witness to part of our heritage:
  • Saint Maximin, Euville, Savonnières, Comblanchien: the Paris of Baron Haussmann,
  • Sireuil: the stone of Bordeaux,
  • Lens: the Maison Carré in Nîmes, the Saint Charles railway station in Marseille,
  • Massangis: the stone of Burgundy, used on the Palais de Chaillot and the Eiffel Tower in Paris,
  • Tuffeau: the region of Tours and the Châteaux of the Loire Valley,
  • Larrys: for the façade of the Palais Garnier Opera House in Paris.
